AI Drugs in Development – Global Tracker for 2025

Welcome! I've spent a lot of time closely tracking drugs developed using AI to understand exactly what's happening in this space.

To date, I've tracked hundreds of AI-developed drug candidates at various stages of clinical development, many of them with significant promise.

This public database is my way of sharing what I'm learning with you, offering a clear view into the rapidly evolving landscape of AI in drug discovery.

Here's a quick note on how I built this database and what's included:

  • Coverage: This database focuses on drugs developed using AI, but it's not exhaustive. I'm continually adding new entries and refining existing ones.

  • Inclusion Criteria: Drugs listed here must have enough publicly available details about specific preclinical or clinical candidates. I avoided adding vague or generic company claims that felt more like marketing than science.

  • COVID-Related Drugs: Most COVID-related drugs are excluded because their clinical paths differ significantly due to emergency use authorization, except for select cases with standard clinical trials.

  • AI Claims: Inclusion here means the company has publicly stated they're using AI in their drug development process. I'm still evaluating how substantial those claims are, and entries may evolve based on further information.

  • More to Come: Many AI drug discovery companies don't yet have drug candidates but still significantly impact the development process. I'm building a separate database to track those companies, so stay tuned.

The complete database includes other fields such as drug targets, major partnerships, clinical trial IDs, drug descriptions, and milestones. If you would like to collaborate, let me know!
